Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026.
The short version
OpenShelf is a reading room, not a data collector. We don’t ask you to sign up, we don’t track you across the web, and we don’t sell anything — there is nothing to sell.
What we collect
Almost nothing. Our servers see the standard technical information every website sees (your IP address and browser type in server logs, kept briefly for security and debugging). If you email us, we keep your email only to reply.
Cookies
OpenShelf does not set advertising or tracking cookies. If we add analytics in the future, this policy will be updated first.
Third-party links
Every listing links to the project’s own website or code repository. Once you leave OpenShelf, their privacy policies apply — we can’t control what happens on someone else’s site.
Children
OpenShelf is a general-audience directory with no accounts and no user content; it is safe for all ages.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we’ll note the new date at the top of this page.
